Vietnam supports cooperation between ASEAN, GCC link bet88 China
At the inaugural ASEAN-Gulf Cooperation Council-China summit held on May 27 in Kuala Lumpur, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized the need to focus cooperation on trade, investment link bet88 supply chain connectivity.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the inaugural ASEAN-Gulf Cooperation Council-China summit, held on May 27 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, as part of the 46thASEAN Summit link bet88 related summits, hosted by Malaysia, the 2025 ASEAN Chair.
According to a report from the Government News, the summit demonstrated the importance of multilateral cooperation link bet88 aimed to promote strategic alignment between ASEAN link bet88 the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) link bet88 China on the basis of mutual respect link bet88 understanding.
With a combined GDP of .87 trillion, cooperation between ASEAN link bet88 GCC link bet88 China would contribute to prosperity link bet88 development in Asia link bet88 the world.
Leaders of ASEAN, GCC link bet88 China pledged to promote trade, investment link bet88 finance cooperation, supply chain connectivity link bet88 market access as well as cooperation in new fronts such as digital technology, artificial intelligence, renewable energy; strengthen cultural exchanges, education link bet88 tourism cooperation.
Regarding regional link bet88 international issues of common concern, the leaders shared their concern over complicated developments on the Gaza Strip link bet88 voiced their support for peace process, formulation of an independent Palestine State, link bet88 the two-State solution in accordance with international law link bet88 related resolutions adopted by the United Nations Security Council.
They also affirmed the importance of peacefully resolving disputes on the basis of international law, ensuring maritime security, link bet88 upholding the values of dialogue, cooperation link bet88 confidence building.
Addressing the summit, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh welcomed ASEAN, GCC link bet88 China – the three major economic drivers of the world, to engage in discussions to enhance cooperation, opening up a historic opportunity to create new strategic cooperation space for the future of prosperity, inclusivity link bet88 sustainability for the involved parties.
The Vietnamese Prime Minister was quoted by the Government News as emphasizing the need to focus cooperation on trade, investment link bet88 supply chain connectivity. From this perspective, he suggested that ASEAN link bet88 China effectively implement their free trade agreement, link bet88 that ASEAN link bet88 GCC should push for signing a free trade deal.
He also suggested ASEAN work with GCC link bet88 China to mull over a tripartite economic cooperation mechanism, including the possibility to formulate a free trade agreement.
Vietnam commits to continue working with countries to contribute to peace, stability link bet88 prosperity for all people in ASEAN, GCC link bet88 China, affirmed Prime Minister Chinh.
